He ran the multipurpose space “Kiwamariso” at Inuyama, Aichi (1996-06) and Mito, Ibaraki (2006-08). He gained attention living, producing work, and exhibiting at the same place which lead to many solo and group exhibitions domestic and international. Arima has gone through the same action for the first time in 10 years since “The Age of Micropop: The New Generation of Japanese Artists” exhibition, assembling the “Kiwamariso” (Inuyama, Mito), “Parplume” (Kangawa), and “XYZ collective” (Tokyo). Major exhibitions include the solo exhibition “Face of a human”, MISAKO & ROSEN (Tokyo), “54th Carnegie International”, Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh (2004 Group exhibition), “How Latitudes Become Forms”, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis (2003 Group exhibition).
