Currently works in Vienna Since 1998, Lois Weinberger has developed a garden project in which ruderal plants grown at his home in Vienna are replanted in new locations. Presented at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin in 1994, and at documenta X in 1997, the work has received wide acclaim. These plants are also a metaphor for immigration. Since the 1990s, while continuing to influence discussions about nature and art, he has held numerous solo exhibitions at home and abroad and participated in various international exhibitions. He is the recipient of numerous awards.
